Who we are

Over the last two decades we have developed a distinctive model of peer-to-peer support to help politicians, ministers and officials solve the problems that matter.

Originally founded in 2005 by Greg Power, we have since worked with hundreds of politicians in more than sixty countries.

mētis (previously Global Partners Governance) was born out of frustration with traditional forms of international support to politicians which tended to focus on structures and process, instead of people, politics and problem-solving.

Our distinctive form of partner-led problem-solving means we offer training and expert advice. But we recognise that this is only useful if it complements the existing skills and insights of the politicians and officials with whom we work.

It is in combining different perspectives, experience and expertise that we are able to find entirely new ways of solving intractable problems.

Our Associates

mētis draws on a network of Associates who have first-hand experience at the highest levels of national, regional, local, and international politics and government.

They provide mentorship, strategic counsel and a sounding-board for testing ideas, working consistently and continually over a period of months and often years, alongside clients to navigate the challenges of implementation.

Would you like to work with us?

We are always interested in working with practitioners who bring insight, judgement, and a strong understanding of how change happens in practice. If you would like to join our Associate network, please get in touch.
